Harpers Ferry National Historical Park is located in West Virginia and was added to the Network in 2019. During the Civil War, Harpers Ferry National Historical Park was home to a large camp of formerly enslaved people, and after the war became a thriving Freedman community. The park includes Storer College, an educational institution for African Americans that was established during Reconstruction.
