subsequent issues will more than justify thedistinguished reputation which it has attained at this early period of itsexistence. Harpers New Monthly Magazine is issued invariably on the first day of themonth in ivhich it is dated. Each Number will contain 144 octavo pages, in double col-umns ; each year thus comprising nearly two thousand pages of the choicest miscellane-ous literature of the day. Every number will contain numerous Pictorial Illustrations,accurate plates of the Fashions, a copious chronicle of Currrent Events, and impar-tial notices of the important Books of the Month. The Volumes commence with theNumbers for June and December. Terms.—The Magazine may be obtained from Booksellers, Periodical Agents, orfrom the Publishers, at Three Dollars a year, or Twenty-five Cents a Number.The Semi-annual Volumes, as completed, neatly bound in Cloth, at Two Dollars, or theMuslin Covers at Twenty-five Cents each, are furnished by the Agents or Publishers.harpersnewyorker01macl
