Thisscrap of a child, wdtli the ajjlomb of a manof fifty, wise beyond his fatness, impartsinformation to the travellers about thewine, speaks to the waiter w^ith quiet au-thority, and makes these mature men feellike boys before the gravity of our perfectflower of American youth who has knownno childhood.
