The corsage is half-high, but ■ia cut approaches the surplice fashion, with a round (waist. There are two skirts, the upper one beingtunic-shaped. The sleeves are in three puffs. Dress-es with but one or two puffs are, however, muchworn ; these have the portion from the elbow slashed, )and falling open in handkerchief style, as illustrated ,by us some months since.—Flounces are worn in any ;number to suit individual taste, from the double- ^jupe to such a number that they become mere frills; 1these, in summer stuffs, are usuallv a disposition.
