Summary
[edit]DescriptionHarold R. Heaton Self Portrait 1892.png |
English: This self-portrait had been requested by "The Sunday Inter Ocean" for an article about Chicago newspaper illustrators, which was published September 11, 1892. Heaton said of it: "Thus are visited upon me the crimes of my professional career; and people who may have gone to their graves after viewing their portraits as drawn by me will probably rise in their cerements to point bony fingers at me and jeer with fiendish glee." |
