Harness stud: Stag with flaming antlers
Description
English: A cast copper alloy shield-shaped mount with the remains of a spike on the reverse; when new, this would have been bent over to secure it to a harness or box. The face bears the image of a stag or hart trippant with red antlers, brown body with three white spots and a wide white collar; all colour on the baclground has been lost. Measurements: shield 28 mm x 38 mm; length of spike 14 mm.
