Harness pendant: King's head
Description
English: A copper-alloy circular harness pendant with six shell-shaped projections around a circular core, suspension loop intact. The centre of the circular core has a ground of blue enamel on which there is a gilded crowned head similar to the crowned leopard appearing on the gold coins of the period. The shell-like projections are also gilded; some 90% of the enamel and gilding remains. Measurements: 28 mm x 30 mm (max. dimensions including suspension loop).
