Title
Harness pendant: Gilded disc and hanger
Description
English: A copper-alloy oval pendant with a suspension loop, pin and hinged fixing plate. The fixing plate, of thick copper-alloy sheeting, has been cut , shaped and folded to form the housing for the pin. There are three rivet holes for fixing the plate to the harness, and although the rivets are missing the impression of the head of the central rivet can be seen clearly; it would have been 12mm in diameter. The fixing plate and the pendant have borders of engraved zigzags within two wavy lines. None of the original gilding remaining. Measurements: Maximum dimenaion approx. 7.5 cm.
