Harness pendant: Crossed keys arms
Description
English: The remains of a copper alloy quatrefoilar horse harness pendant, suspension loop intact. Design of a shield, placed so that its bottom point ocupies much of the bottom lobe of the quatrefoil. The shield bears traces of red enamel, on this a pair of crossed keys, loops at the base. Some blue enamel is visible in the area outside the shield; on this, some rather unclear designs which may be Romanesque beasts. Piece is in por condition, with parts of the edge missing. Measurements: 29 mm x 31 mm.
