As thefloors of the three buildings are not allof the same levels, inclined walks or.stairways are used in connecting them.Various Departments Described. In order to describe the various de-partments, a start will be made from theKing street entrance. The windows, oneon each side of the vestibule entrance,are finished in solid mahogany, the floorsbeing highly polished and affording anexcellent setting for the high grade sil-verware, cut glass and fancy goodswhich are shown. Inthis department is displayed a very ex-tensive stock of sterling silver, electroplated ware, cut glass, cutlery, brass,leather and general fancy goods. In thebasement, up-to-date serviceable lavator-ies have been installed for the employesuse, also cloak rooms, and the boiler forheating the building. Elevators Connect With All Floors. Passing through the rear, two tele-phone booths are located, also desks forsalesmen and attendants, and the cashbalcony—the entire retail premises be-ing fitted with a cable cash carrier sys-tem.
