One is that the equipment matches that found in anyjewelry or drug store where attractive-ness in appearance is especially sought.What is more, the equipment is com-pletely modern. You do not find a glasssilent salesman in one part and a bat-tered old counter in another. The secondimpression is that, although the stockcarried is obviously large, there is noevidence of crowding. A Detailed Description. But now for some details. To theright on entering one finds the toolsand shelf hardware. The tools are dis-played behind glass casing. The toolcases run half way up. and above thatagain are shelf goods. There is oneglass silent salesman on this side imme-diately at the front and a long counterwhich runs back almost to the rear.After the shelf goods comes paint andafter that harvest tools and heavygoods.

The rest of the wall space istaken up with open shelving for the dis-play of enamelware and tinware. Im-mediately at the front is a large silentsalesman which is used for silverware,cutlery and similar lines. Beyond thissilent salesman is a space which is usedvariously according to the seasons. Atthe present time it is occupied by stoves.Earlier in the summer gas stoves werefound there and at other times tablesare placed out for the display of season-able small articles. On the left-hand side, opposite thepaint department is the office, walled inwith glass casements. Behind the officeis a plumbing showroom. The store is fitted up with a metalceiling which is left absolutely clear.The result of this is seen in the light-ness of the store even at the very rear.Slidding ladders are used and the storedoes not lack in modern
