| Description |
English: Harbour House, Stiffkey Dating from the 16th century and reputed to be the oldest house in the village, this cottage was originally one dwelling, then was divided into three, and in the 1960s was converted back to one again. At some point in its original incarnation it was the Harbour Master's house. Stones on the side of the building and the edge of the main fireplace are said to have come from Binham Priory (approx 3 miles away) when it was destroyed in the Reformation. Signs including traces of old windows indicate that at some point the roof was higher; there also used to be three chimneys, but the central one was removed in the last renovation.
