Summary

[edit]
Description This may be stretching the definition of a fence. This netting is installed below the fish ladder in Damariscotta, ME and keeps the fish directed upstream to the lake where they spawn and then return down the stream to the ocean again. Not quite sure why this is required as I the fish know where to go. The photographers do not like it as it is not the nicest background to scenes of ospreys diving into the water to catch the alewives. HFFF
