English: Portrait of an Unknown Lady. Black and coloured chalks, pen and brush and Indian ink, bluish bodycolour, on pink-primed paper, 27.9 × 19.5 cm, Royal Collection, Windsor Castle. The chalks are much rubbed, with parts of the drawing hardly visible. Ink lines are reinforced by later hands, with poor quality around the brow (Parker, p. 49). |
