Description
Deutsch: Villa Willmer ("Tränenburg") in Hannover, historisches Foto um 1900. Errichtet 1890 an der Hildesheimer Straße/Ecke Güntherstraße von Karl Börgemann für den Ziegeleibesitzer Friedrich Willmer. Überstand den Zweiten Weltkrieg und wurde trotz lebhafter Proteste 1971 zugunsten eines Verlagsneubaus abgerissen.
English: Villa Willmer ("Tränenburg", palace of tears) in Hanover, Lower Saxony, Germany. Built in 1890 by Karl Börgemann at Hildesheimer Straße/Güntherstraße corner. Survived WW2 but was demolished for a new modernist building in 1971, ignoring protests by the citizens of Hanover.
