Description
Deutsch: Glocke der Handseilzugfähre Leißnitz am Westufer der Spree in Ranzig. Um die Fähre von ihrem Standplatz auf der anderen Spreeseite in Leißnitz herbeizurufen, muss die Glocke geschlagen werden. Das Wappen auf der Glocke ist das Wappen der Stadt Friedland, zu der Leißnitz gehört. Die Handseilzugfähre in Leißnitz ist eine Personen- und Prahmfähre im Landkreis Oder-Spree. Sie verbindet den Friedländer Ortsteil Leißnitz mit dem Taucher Ortsteil Ranzig über den Fluss Spree und ist die einzige Handseilzugfähre im Land Brandenburg. Die Fähre ermöglicht am Kreuzungspunkt der Radwanderwege Oder-Spree-Tour, Tour Brandenburg, Beeskow-Sulecin, Spreeradweg und Märkische Schlösser-Tour die Spreeüberquerung nur für Wanderer und Radfahrer.
English: Bell of the Handseilzugfähre Leißnitz in Ranzig to call the ferry. The emblem on the bell is the coat of arms of the town Friedland where the village Leißnitz belongs to. It consists of three scythe-blades and was originally the family crest of the knights „von Strele“. The Handseilzugfähre in Leißnitz (manual cable ferry in Leißnitz) connects in the District Oder-Spree, Brandenburg, Germany, the localities Leißnitz and Ranzig over the river Spree. The ferry can be used exclusively by pedestrians and cyclists. The river crossing is part of some cycling routes, among others of the Spreeradweg (Spree-cycling-route) and „Märkische Schlösser-Tour“ (palaces tour in the former Margraviate of Brandenburg).
