Русский: Оберег на картинке - это шаркунок, берестяной оберег северной традиции, внутри еловые или сосновые семена. Считалось, что им нужно погреметь, чтобы отпугнуть злых духов. Петух, изображенный на амулете, считался у славян вещей птицей, голос которой отгонял нечистую силу.
English: The amulet is a box made of birch bark, inside it there are peas, spruce seeds or pine seeds. The Slavs believed they are to shake the amulet, and the sound will scare away evil spirits. The rooster drawn on the amulet is believed also a prophetic bird whose voice scares away any devilry.
