Description

Built 1960 and first flew at RAE Bedford on 17th August 1961. Used for research into delta wing shapes at slow speed, in support of the Concorde development program. Retired in 1973, it was preserved at RAF Colerne in February 1974 as part of the large collection there. Moved to Cosford Aerospace Museum in October 1975 when Colerne closed. Moved again in June 1979, this time to Yeovilton to be displayed alongside the Concorde prototype G-BSST. Seen on display in Hall 4 as part of the ‘Leading Edge’ exhibiton. Fleet Air Arm Museum RNAS Yeovilton, Somerset, UK.
