Zu erwähnen ist hieraber noch, dass als eine zweifellos bemerkenswerte Eigenschaft des Natronkalkes die vomersten Moment der Benutzung an bereite Absorptionsfähigkeit festgestellt wurde, ein Vorzuggegenüber dem Aetzkalimaterial. Obgleich zeitlich getrennt, schliessen sich hier am besten noch einige Apparate derallerjüngsten Zeit an, weil dieseApparate wie die bisherigen auf die Ausnutzung der lebendigenKraft der Sauerstoffkompression verzichten. Hier ist zuerst der von einigen Ingenieuren desWaldenburger Tief bauschachts erfundeneApparat zu nennen (D. R. G. M. No. 190132). Die Fehler dieses Apparates sind einmal dieBefestigung des Atmungssackes am Körper des Trägers in Form einer Weste, sodass der Praktische Anwendung der Sauerstofftherapie bei dem Bergbau und bei der Feuerwehr. 441 Fig. 36 u. 37.
