r; Ti,first, T2, second, T3, third temporal convolutions; ti, first, t2, second temporal(Ecker.) at its upper end into what is termed the superior parietal lobule.The superior parietal lobule is separated from the inferior parietallobule by the intra-parietal sulcus. The inferior parietal lobule(pli courbe) is situated at the posterior and upper end of thefissure of Sylvius; it consists of (a) an anterior part (supra-marginal convolution) which hooks round the end of the fissure of CH. XVT.J LOBES OF THE CEREBRUM. 637 Sylvius, and joins the superior temporal convolution, and a posteriorpart (b) (angular gyrus) which hooks round into the middletemporal convolution. 3. Temporal (T.), contains three well-marked convolutions,parallel to each other, termed the superior, middle, and inferiortemporal. The superior and middle are separated by the parallelfissure. 4. Occipital (0.). This lobe lies behind the external perpen-dicular or parieto-occipital fissure, and contains three convolutions,
