The direct method, by means of electrodes connected tothe ends of the spiral. 2. Auto-conduction. In this method we have a wire spirallarge enough to enclose the patient. It may be so arranged 130 ELECTRO-THERAPEUTICS. that the patient may sit, recline, or stand. It is important toremember that, in this method, the patient does not in any waytouch a conductor. The high frequency current traverses thespiral and thus inductively influences the patient.
