English: Hamstead Trail north of Wellow The Hamstead Trail runs south to north across the western part of the island. Here it is a public footpath, but used as a bridleway under a stewardship scheme, allowing horses to use most of the trail.
Farmland north of Wellow gives way to woodland on the approach to Cranmore. |
