Summary
[edit]DescriptionHampton waterworks, forced draught fan - geograph.org.uk - 1728896.jpg |
English: Hampton waterworks, forced draught fan The boilers here ran on balanced draught with a forced draught fans blowing and an induced draught fan sucking. This is the blower and combustion air entered through the grill in the centre and was exhausted to the air heater. The fan was driven by a small steam turbine. I think the drum in the foreground was probably both the lubricating oil store and contained a cooler. |
