| Description |
English: Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance on the Queen Alexandra Hospital Portsmouth Helipad. The Helicopter, G-HIOW, is an Airbus H135, had presumably performed a mission and was to return Upavon according to information found on the internet. I had been trying to get an acceptable image of the Helipad for weeks and elected to try a point near Fort Widley on returning to Leigh Park from a trip to the Gosport area with us electing to take the Military Road. By sheer random luck G-HIOW was on the Helipad. The bad news was the sun was bright, to the west while various misty conditions existed over Portsea. I was on a high zoom on the FZ82 without a tripod, time was limited and I could only remember to set IA+ and hope rather than to use more optimal camera settings. The camera clock was out by an hour. |
