Description
Deutsch: Hammersbach, Ortsteil Langen-Bergheim, Herrenhaus.

Ursprünglich im Besitz des Klosters Marienborn, fiel der "Klosterhof" bei der Reformation 1559 an die Grafen Isenburg ( -Birstein, 1687 -Marienborn und 1725 -Meerholz).

Wichtiger Lehensmann war 1583 Hans Eulner, der mit seinen Nachkommen bis zum Ende des 30-jährigen Krieges den "Eulners Hof" bewirtschaftete.

1687 pachtete Johann Meysel den Hof; er bewirtschaftete gleichzeitig die Obermühle und die Untermühle in Bergheim.

1796 erwarb Johann Georg Schatz die "Herrschaftliche große Hofraithe" für 2400 Gulden aus gräflichen Besitz.

Der Name "Herrenhaus" wurde 1860 nach dem Kauf des Anwesens durch Johann Wilhelm Koch üblich, dessen Familie das Haus bis in die Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts besaß.

Das eindrucksvolle Fachwerk-Wohngebäude ist zwischen 1700 und 1750 errichtet worden.
