Hamm's Beer bear at The Centrum

Description

The Hamm's Beer bear walks around The Centrum during a summer event. The Centrum was a public plaza on the southeast corner of South High and East Town Streets. It was known as a place for ice skating in the winter and roller skating in the summer, but other events were held there, too. It consisted of a sunken plaza, pedestrian bridges, and a fountain. It operated from 1979-1987, before being removed to make way for construction of the City Center Mall.
