Jo-Ellen Darcy, Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works (fourth from right), toured the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District's Hamilton City project June 3, 2014, with U.S. Rep. John Garamendi and Corps leaders as part of Darcy's visit to Corps infrastructure projects in Northern California. The project will let nature help do the work of reducing flood risk for Hamilton City by restoring 1,500 acres of native habitat between the Sacramento River and a new setback levee to be built near the town.
