Das Bild ist eine Panoramafunahme des Rathausplatzes in Hameln. Zu sehen ist links das Rathaus – erkennbar am Hamelner Wappen – mit seinem grauen Turm. Das gelbliche Gebäude mit den blauen Fenster- und Türrahmen ist das Theater. Rechts daneben steht das magentafarbene Weserbergland-Zentrum. Darüber ist ein Teil des Bellevue-Centers zu sehen. Am rechten Bildrand sieht man das Hotel Mercure (ehemals Dorint-Hotel).
Das Panorama ist aus 6 Bildern, die mit Hilfe eines Polarisationsfilters aufgenommen wurden, zusammengesetzt.
