Description

Fresneaux est une ancienne commune de l'Oise. En 1828, Fresneaux est rattachée à Bucamp.

"Le hameau de Fresneau, Fresneaux, Fresneaux-Clermont , Freneaux, Fraineaux, placé à l'Ouest de Bucamp, qui fut érigé en commune séparée dans la révolution , lui a été de nouveau réuni en 1828; il consiste en un village formé d'une seule rue, et contenant une centaine d'habitans.

On y voit, sous le titre de Saint-Nicolas , une chapelle fondée au dix-septième siècle par M. Paris de la Brosse , seigneur de Fresneau. C'est un petit bâtiment carré , fort simple, dont le chœur est lambrissé, et dont la nef n'a ni voûte , ni plancher.

On assure qu'il y avait, dans le moyen âge , un château fortifié à Fresneau. La tradition locale y signale aussi l'existence de vastes souterrains dont on ne connaît plus l'entrée. Fresneaux is a former commune of the Oise. In 1828 Fresneaux is attached to Bucamps.

It shows under the title of Saint-Nicolas, a chapel founded in the seventeenth century by M. Paris de la Brosse, Lord Fresneau. It is a small square building, very simple, which is paneled choir and the nave has no roof or floor.

It ensures that there was in the Middle Ages a fortified castle at Fresneau. Local tradition has it also indicates the existence of vast underground that we no longer know the entrance. "
