English: Hambleton railway station (site), Yorkshire Opened in 1834 by the Leeds and Selby Railway, later part of the North Eastern Railway, this station closed to passengers in 1959 and completely in 1964. View east towards Selby. After closure, the track was widened from 2 to 4 tracks at this point, those furthest from the camera now being on an embankment to take them over the East Coast Main Line. |
