Description
English: A fine mosque at the end of a short road from huge norias is the Al-Nuri mosque, built by the Muslim commander Nureddin, uncle of Saladin, in the 12th century. Some of the pictures show the mosque from outside, or across the Orontes river. Note: the name al-Nuri mosque is found in several towns.
