Description
English:
Királyrét Forest Railway 'Szokolya-Riezner' train stop. Királyrét F.R. one of the surviving lines of the Börzsönyi narrow gauge rail network, which once exceeded 200 km. In 1893, Count János Franken-Siersttorpff, a Prussian-born landowner, built the Királyrét railway. In 1912 the railway was further developed, the Királyrét - Bajdás wing line was completed. The wing lines between the Kismaros - Danubeside Loader and kismaros - Nógrádvernice MÁV station were also laid. In 1941, quarrying was stopped; Most of the cars and locomotives were sold. After 1950, only two, Muki and Triglav,remained. Only wood was transported. In 1978, the track was rebuilt for a larger gauge. Since 2001, the railway has been developing again. In around 2020, there are two motorcars, five locomotieves one of them is steam loco, nine passanger cars plus service railway freight wagons etc. - Kossuth Street, Szokolya, Pest County, Hungary.
