Description
English: This is an original 1882 dinner menu from the Halliday Hotel in Cairo, Illinois. The hotel was owned by the Halliday Brothers of Cairo, Illinois. During a period of the Civil War, General Ulysses S. Grant utilized the Halliday as his headquarters. The Halliday was known across the country as one of the grandest hotels in Illinois.
