Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Hallam Towers Hotel, Fulwood Road, Broomhill, Sheffield. Known in the 1970's as the Hallam Towers Hotel (Hallam being an old term for the Sheffield area) ... this high rise hotel was later known as the Post House. Being a high rise, it was controversial when it was built in this 'traditional suburb' of Sheffield, and still is today ... as it is closed and awaiting a decision on it's future. I enjoyed staying here on many occasions whilst working for Bassett's (of Liquorice Allsorts fame) and also attended many meetings and interviews. I only have good memories of the place, and the view from most of the bedrooms was fantastic. I also recall many of the top Snooker players staying here during the World Championships at The Crucible. 1079547 1079550 1079560
