Summary

English: Hall Court, Rushall The current magnificent hall dates from 1608, but there was a moated site in this grass field from the thirteenth century. An archaeological excavation undertaken in 1974 showed that the moat was up to 9m wide and 2.5 m deep. Inside was a complex of late medieval structures with stone foundation courses which probably supported timber framed buildings. A superior centre building had a decorated tile floor. |
