Taken during the 1980`s. Thanks to Ilford Hobbits for the location. The left hand train is 1962 Stock, while the right hand vehicle is a Sleet Locomotive, built from two 1903 Central London Railway motor cars. There were eight still operational in early 1984, but six were scrapped in April. If the date of 1 December 1984 is correct, this must be ESL107 or ESL117. See where this picture was taken. [?] |
