| Description |
English: Haig Colliery Horizontal duplex haulage/capstan engine. This has now been scrapped. It was latterly, at least, run on compressed air and at an earlier date I remember tweaking the throttle and closing it somewhat quickly as it barked into life.
One of the winding engine houses (No. 4) and the power house are visible in the background. No. 4 headgear is seen to be demolished (No. 5 survives). |
