Hagside Level Crossing signal box in Radcliffe, a Saxby and Farmer Type 6 design built for the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway. Tuesday 19th September 1978 Hagside Level Crossing was a Saxby and Farmer type 6 design built for the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway. It was opened in 1873 fitted with a Saxby and Farmer frame which was replaced by a 16 lever Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Tappet frame in 1941. Closure came on 16th March 1980 when a replacement signal box was opened in connection with the new station at Bury Interchange diagonally opposite across the level crossing Ref no 00765 |
