Description
Deutsch: Naturschutzgebiet Hardt (NSG HA 016) in Hagen. Volmehang Emst - Delstern. Etwa 250 m südlich des Straßenabzweiges "Im Eichenwald" an der Straße "Am Berghang" in Emst kommen bis zu 20 m mächtige geschichtete Korallen-Stromatoporen(1)-Brachiopoden(2)-Kalksteine vor, die als Vorläufer des Massenkalkes anzusehen sind. Die ersten Riffansätze wurden immer wieder von tonigen Sedimenten zugedeckt, bis diese aufgrund der paläogeographischen Verhältnisse letztendlich komplett von tonigen Sedimenten überlagert wurden (1 Stromatoporen werden heute meist den Schwämmen zugeordnet; 2 Brachiopoden: Armfüßer, ähneln Muscheln, sind aber nicht miteinander verwandt).
