Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Hafan Incline The double-tracked Hafan Incline served the stone quarries beyond the summit top right, which produced paving setts and building stone. At the base of the incline was a set of exchange sidings to link with the Plynlimon & Hafan Tramway. The picture is taken from the dumps and workings of the old Hafan lead mine. The incline dates from the second half of the 19th century. The quarry above the incline head was worked by McAlpines between 1956 and 1961 in the building of the Nant y Moch reservoir.
