English: H A McEwen Boiler Works, Farling Top This unprepossessing site is home to one of the few boiler repairers and makers who can deal with a wide variety of stationary, marine, road traction and locomotive boilers. Alan McEwen is another larger than life character in the Fred Dibnah mould. The business is looking to relocate as the really big loco boilers can't make it to 925' AOD. Alan McEwen retired in late 2007 from running the company. |
