Nederlands: "Anno 1674 den 22 Julius ouden stijl is door Godts onweer de twee spitsee van de torens door het dack van de kerkcke van St.Peter ghevallenen dit van binnen hem sich soo vertoont a. is een Isere kogel hanckt in een Iseren bant is voor desen geschooten uit het Casteel van Vreeburgh in de kerck door het Orgel dat onder desee kogel stont en daer desee b.op staet boven de vifde Pilaer staet een schamp schuet en viel al soo op het hooghe khoor als men die nog kan sien desee Pilaren zijn van onderen tot boven uit een hart steenne stuck gebout dat raer is om te sien is den 8 September daer aen volgende getekent van herman Saftleven Ao 1674 out 64 Jaer. Desee voorschreve pilaren van de bovenste plint tot onder de gront sinsee lanck 23 voet 23 dui[m] de schaft is onder bijdt basement dick 9 voet min een duim soo minder 10 in desee kerck"
