English: Dutch Marines look on as their teammates are hoisted into a hovering helicopter during a visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS) training evolution on board Dutch fast combat support ship HNLMS Amsterdam (A 836), Feb. 19. Amsterdam is currently deployed as part of Combined Task Force 150, conducting maritime security operations (MSO). MSO helps set the conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment as well as complement the counter-terrorism and security efforts of regional nations. MSO deny international terrorists use of the maritime environment as a venue for attack or to transport personnel, weapons, or other material.
