Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Tri-Dot Test-Positive

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The HIV Tri-Dot Test is a rapid diagnostic test used to detect antibodies to the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) in the blood. A positive result on the HIV Tri-Dot Test indicates the presence of HIV antibodies in the individual's bloodstream. However, it's important to understand the implications of a positive result-A positive result on a rapid test like the HIV Tri-Dot Test is considered a preliminary result. It needs to be confirmed with additional testing, typically through a laboratory-based test called the Western blot or an HIV nucleic acid test (NAT). These confirmatory tests are more specific and help to confirm the presence of HIV infection.
