A ten thousand dollar grant by the United States Southern Command Humanitarian Assistance Program (HAP) made possible the construction of a perimeter wall around Public School #86 for intellectually disabled children in Sarandi del Yi, designed to provide security for the more than 60 students attending the school. On June 16, 2011, U.S. Embassy officials attended an inauguration ceremony organized by local and national education authorities.
