Summary
[edit]Aerial view of "Hercules" seaplane built by Howard Hughes during the closing months of World War II. Designed to carry large loads safe from German U-boats, advances in anti-submarine warfare made the plane obsolete before it was completed. It was flown by Hughes once, for about a mile, in 1947. It is expected to go on public display late this year. (Released to Public)
