Summary
[edit]DescriptionH20150402-0033—Maianthemum stellatum— (16861418280).jpg |
Maianthemum stellatum—starry false lily of the valley. Occurs over much of northern North America south of the Arctic Circle except the southeastern United States. Disjunct populations are found in Mexico. M. Stellatum spreads by agressive rhizomes. Photographed at Regional Parks Botanic Garden located in Tilden Regional Park near Berkeley, CA. Note: Three authorities assign the plant to different families. I choose to call this plant a Liliaceae for convenience. |
