[edit]DescriptionH. W. Carmack, 1918 (4370640527).jpg |
English: The members of the Carmack family were among the first residents of Upper Arlington. Mr. Carmack married Mary Catherine Hildebrand, of Loudonville, Ohio and together they had four children. He was the District Manager of the Dwinell-Wright Company that manufactured Whitehouse coffee. During the time when the National Guard was operating Camp Willis in Upper Arlington, the family had to obtain military passes to enter their own home. The Carmacks lived at 1740 Roxbury, across the street from the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Warren Armstrong. While the National Guard was present, Mrs. Armstrong would not let her children cross the street to visit their grandparents because of the military trucks traveling in the area. http://ua-archives.cdmhost.com/u?/p4036coll10,86 Identifier: hinw04p008i01 |
