Summary
[edit]DescriptionHürth-Hermülheim, Roman Eifel Aqueduct. Pic 04.jpg |
English: Section of the Roman Eifel Aqueduct to Cologne at nearby Hürth-Hermülheim. Piers and segmental arches of the aqueduct, erected after 50 AD, rest on the older Vorgebirgsleitung (made of dark blue basalt concrete). The covered conduit above the apex of the arches was reconstructed for illustrative reasons. |
