Description
English:
Urszinyi-Beliczey country house. Built to Urszinyi family in Neo-Classicist style in the end of the 1840s. Andor Ursziny (?-1887) moved to Békés County in 1836, working as a lawyer in Szarvas. From 1840 he became the estate prosecutor of Count Herman Stockhammer in Csaba, and five years later he became a court judge of the county. In 1849 he was elected chief judge of Békéscsaba. In 1861 he was alispán (~~deputy governor) of the county. Then Rudolf Bajczai Beliczey (?-1907), member of the National Assembly, bought the mansion. The Beliczey family was from Nitra County. After WW2 here was a boarding school, later office building. Renewed in between 2021 and 2023. Remodelled into an exhibition and event venue, extended with a theater hall wing. It presents (in 2023) the history of Urszinyi and the Beliczey families, as well as the mansions on Gyulai Road. - 2 Gyulai Road, Békéscsaba, Békés County, Hungary.

Urszinyi-Beliczey-kúria. Klasszicista, épült az 1840-es évek végén. A kert felőli térsora aszimmetrikus, a férfi-oldal második szobája a rövidhomlokzat mögé került. A kereszttengelyben: üvegezett portikusz, veranda-tornác-szoborfülkés hall, elmozdult tengelyű nagyszalom, kerti lépcső. Az 1940-es 1950-es években Áchim L. András népi kollégium (NÉKOSZ) volt, majd a Gabonaipari Vállalat irodái voltak. 2021 és 2023 között átalakítva, bővítve kiállítóhelynek ill. a Napsugár Bábszínház új épülete. - 'Beliczay-kúria' néven, műemlék azonosító: 2410, törzsszám: 694.
